Room to grow

I have always wanted to be good at everything. You could ask me to do something and I might not know how to, but I would agree and put my best effort into teaching myself. At a job interview, I'd say I'm open to learning every facet of the role, simply because I want to prove to myself that I can exceed expectations... more importantly my own.

I've never let anything stop the trajectory of my own desires. It's a ferocity that dominates my willpower, forcing me into overdrive. I would never allow someone to look at me and think that any of my afflictions have stopped me from achieving my goals. I got my degree, I have a full time job, I pay all my damn bills myself (I could keep going but I won't). I have always demanded proof from myself that I am more than capable.

Except, sometimes I am not. I am not always at my best. In my search to always succeed I can be obnoxious, messy, and sometimes ignorant. Like a mad bull, I am unyielding (that was a Taurus pun). As I become more accepting of the periods where I can’t be one hundred percent, I am learning that excellence and perfection are not equal. I can still be as great as I am and have room to grow. And I do.
